I’m a part of the coaching staff for Upper Echelon Fitness.

At Upper Echelon Fitness I work with my associates to provide the highest quality coaching possible. I provide individual training plans to meet individual needs and to help riders meet their cycling goals. I believe it is important to develop a rider in ways that not only increase their performance on the bike, but which also translate into a healthier lifestyle. In addition to improving physical and mental fitness, I feel many riders can benefit from learning more about their form, and by focusing on the small details of cycling skills that are often missed. It is my goal to develop riders fully, so that a rider may discover their true potential as an athlete. I strive to provide the highest quality coaching and to provide as much support as possible for my riders.

In addition to working individually with riders, I also provide weekly skills instruction before the monday night PIR racing. We cover a wide range of topics and on the bike drills to improve handling skills and racing abilities. Each week has a different focus and starts in a classroom setting with discussion and Q & A about the topics, followed by hands on experience, working on skills and drills. The classes are structured so that no matter the skill level, it will be beneficial. So whether you’ve never raced and are thinking of dipping your toes in the water, or have surfed the peloton for a couple of years, the classes will help take your riding to the next level.

The classes begin at 5:15 and go until 6:15, and registration is at the Monday Night PIR registration table. After the class, I follow and mentor at the back of the pack giving tips and tricks during the novice men and novice women races. Following the race, there is a post race analysis and feedback on the race. The classes cost 15 dollars, show up ready to ride! If you intend to race, come with your number pinned as the classes go right until the novice races begin.
